Ricarda Musser studied Library Science and Romance Philology. She is the director of the media department and the country specialist for Brazil, Chile, and Portugal at the Ibero-Amerikanisches Institut in Berlin (IAI).

Ricarda Musser is the coordinator of various projects, among these the retro-digitalisation of Latin-American culture magazines of the 19th and early 20th centuries. She has expert knowledge of the IAI’s collection of Latin-American popular culture. She specializes in theoretical background and execution of digitalization projects, and their implications for research and investigation practices.

Research interests:

18th and 19th century travel literature, German emigration to Latin-America, 19th and 20th century Latin-American popular literature.
