Jan Konrad Schröder gained a M.A. degree in History of Art and Philosophy in Berlin with a thesis on American modernism in 2006. After a doctoral scholarship granted by the Berliner-Nachwuchsförderung (supporting young researchers) he was a member of the ’Collegium Picture Act & Embodiment’ since 2009. In 2010, he finished his phd-thesis on principles and definments of picture acts and passed the oral exam the following year by defending some core aspects -, but would not want to publish his dissertation caused by own faults.
Till 2014, he coinitiated a project at the Collegium to contribute with current research topics in image- and dataprocessing in decisionmaking, and he began working on an introductionary handbook to explore and structure the event- and phenomenon-spectrum of picture acts in historical perspective.
