Immanuel Pelzer has a Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Systems from the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg. He began pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 2014. His web app floradex garnered him a prize from the CodingDaVinci Competition and from the »Deutscher Multimediapreis mb21«. He is currently a member of the Human-Centered-Computing working group of the FU, at the same time working on his Master’s thesis on the value of ontologically-based data visualisation. For his thesis project he is investigating the extent in which semantic data in visualisations can offer a surplus of knowledge for the end-user.

Together with the Cluster’s ID+Lab team, he is working on developing a publication platform for experimental interdisciplinary publications that will make the Cluster’s interdisciplinary work accessible and reproducible. He is responsible for programming the individual components of the ID+Stage.
