David Bäcker is currently studying for a Master’s in Art and Visual History at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He gained his Bachelor’s degree in Art History and Media and Communication Studies in 2016 from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and Tel Aviv University. His undergraduate dissertation explored the reception of images of witches in the early modern period.

He works in the unit led by the Chair of the History and Theory of Form, where he supports Margarete Pratschke as a student assistant with seminar and lecture preparation and on research projects.
